Baden-Baden is Germany’s most renowned wellness city, and this hotel is an urban oasis set in a private park. A favourite of dignitaries and celebrities, the hotel garnered international attention when U.S. President Barack Obama and twenty-five heads of state arrived for the 2009 NATO Summit. Perhaps some of these overworked leaders enjoyed a treatment at the medical spa that boasts a team of German doctors, who oversee everything from preventive check-ups to nutrition coaching. There are also two beauty spas specializing in Asian and South Pacific therapies.
